1/2 Gallon Heather Grey

Grow Bag Kit

The 1/2 gallon bagoplant is ideal for vegetables, houseplants, bulbs, & flowers. The porous nature of a grow bag allows the root system to air prune & any excess water to drain out the sides of the bag resulting in a healthier & fuller plant. The bamboo saucer & leca balls will catch & absorb the excess water.

    FAQs

Do I need add new soil when planting?

Yes you should be adding new soil when repotting. We suggest that the soil is equal parts soil and perlite. You can add compost as well for added nutrients.

How much water should I add to the grow bag?

Add water until you see it exit from the sides of the bag into the saucer. Stop watering before the saucer fills with water.

How often should I water my plant?

When the LECA balls are dry to the touch and the bag is light when you pick it up, you should add water either directly to the saucer or from the top until it drains out the sides of the bag. Because the bags are porous you will need to pay more attention to your plant and potentially water more often depending on the plant.

Can I eat fruits and veggies grown in a bagoplant?

Yes you can because the recycled polyethylene is BPA free as it is made from plastic water bottles

When should I upsize the grow bag?

Your bagolant can be the forever home for your plant as the roots will airprune in the bag thus not leading to a rootbound plant. However, if you wish to upsize your plant for more growth, we encourage going up a size from a 1/2 to a 1 gallon at the start of the growing season.
